Vegetable Self Harvesting

This project allows families and groups as well as individuals to cultivate and harvest their own vegetables from May to October on a designated spot of land.

Growing your own veggies comes along with a lot of advantages. Not only are you provided with fresh vegetables of known origin and quality throughout the season but these are also very afforable. And what’s more, on weekends or after work it is fun and relaxing to work in the countryside with nice people around.
Also children are very welcome and there are play and picknick facilities for both young and old.

That’s how it works:

In spring we sow and plant more than 30 different kinds of vegetables for you on a field which is then divided into plots of approx. 85m².

From May on you will be in charge of your very own plot which can be rented for a seasonal fee of €180. You then nourish and foster the plants and can regularly harvest your very own fresh vegetables. Of course I am regularly available to offer advice and information – you won’t need any previous horticultural knowledge. In October the plots go back to our care and a parcel may be rented again in the next year.

From our experience we can say that one plot roughly supplies a family of four with fresh vegetables for the whole season. Also half a plot can be rented at a price of €110.
